Table paste
Build a table with merged cells and tables inside cells, then copy it and paste it into a FetLife writing. Click a cell to type. Drag across cells, or Shift-click, to select a block to merge.
Use at your own risk. FetLife's buttons can't make these tables; you get them by pasting. FetLife may not like posts that use features its editor doesn't offer. They could strip the tables, break how the post displays, or, unlikely but possible, treat it as misuse and act on your account. Try a private post first, and don't use it where losing the account would hurt.

- FetLife's editor keeps merged cells (colspan and rowspan) and tables inside cells when you paste. Its toolbar has no buttons for either.
- Header cells only work as a top row. FetLife turns other header cells into header-row cells, so this page only offers a header row.
- Cell colours are stripped on paste, so there is no colour option here.
- Bold (Ctrl/Cmd B) and italic (Ctrl/Cmd I) inside cells survive the paste. Press Enter for a new paragraph in a cell.
- Checked on 2026-11-01: a saved FetLife draft came back from the server with its merges and inner table intact.
- Your table is kept in this browser only (localStorage). Nothing is sent anywhere.
